What it does
- 01
Case pipeline
Every application tracked from first enquiry to submission. Leads from the Passport Nexus site flow straight into the agency workspace.
- 02
Multiple programs
Programs carry their own requirements as configuration, so adding one is a setup task rather than a rewrite. Antigua and Barbuda came first.
- 03
Applicants and dependants
A case holds the main applicant and every dependant, with their own documents and status.
- 04
Documents and checklists
Sensitive personal and financial documents requested, received and tracked per person, behind role-based access.
- 05
Staff and partner portals
Two experiences on one tenant layout and menu structure, so they stay consistent and cheap to maintain.
- 06
Applicant screening
Sanctions and PEP checks through a third-party provider API, offered to agencies as prepaid per-check credits.
The problem
Investment-migration work is document-heavy, deadline-driven and regulated. Agencies coordinate applicants, dependants, due-diligence checks, partners and government-facing submissions, often across email and spreadsheets, with little history of who did what.
The constraints
- Every agency is its own tenant, with its own staff, clients and settings.
- Programs differ in what they require, so rules have to be configurable rather than hard-coded.
- Sensitive personal and financial documents make privacy, access control and an audit trail requirements, not extras.
- Screening is an agency-side pre-application check, not a government function, and it has to fit a prepaid, pay-per-check model.
How it was built
- 01
Build the tenant and staff portal first
Grouped navigation and a consistent layout, so every agency works from the same foundation.
- 02
Reuse the layout for partners
The partner portal adopts the same tenant layout and menu structure instead of becoming a second product to maintain.
- 03
Treat screening as a product feature
Provider API integration with prepaid per-check credits, so the commercial model is part of the design, not bolted on.
- 04
Record every action
An audit trail on every file answers who did what, and when.
Where it stands
Complete. The staff portal, partner portal and screening are all in place, with the marketing site at passportnexus.com bringing leads into the system.
